Business Spotlight: Nuvue Optometry

Nuvue Optometry is a family business owned and operated out of Kelowna. The clinic will be having its 5th anniversary at the beginning of November. Dr’s Brad and Devin Almond are a father and son team that created the vision for Nuvue Optometry. They strive to not only be one of the best Optometry clinics in the Okanagan but all of British Columbia. They achieve a great patient experience by providing their patients with advanced technology and affordable care.

When you enter Nuvue Optometry their friendly staff create a family-like atmosphere. There is an “eye cave” for the children to play in and a comfortable waiting room. The staff like to get to know their patients on a personal level. The optometrist Dr. Devin Almond and his wife Olivia have a beautiful energetic one-year-old daughter named Brooklyn. Dr. Almond likes to play hockey, watch football and spends most of his free time playing with his daughter. Dr. Brad Almond is very involved with business operations and still has clinic days a few times per week. He enjoys playing hockey, living the Okanagan lifestyle, and watching his other son Cody play hockey in Switzerland. Denise is the office manager at Nuvue Optometry. She ensures the patients have a great experience while keeping business running efficiently. She is amazing to work with if you are looking for a personalized optical experience. Denise enjoys fishing with her husband Dave and looking after her new granddaughter.

Some of the technology that separates Nuvue Optometry includes a state of the art OCT, topographer, anterior segment imaging, osmolarity testing, and blephex. OCT is essential for diagnosing and managing glaucoma, while osmolarity testing and blephex are crucial for advanced dry eye clinics. Their clinic is always looking at the latest technology to provide their patients with the leading care. In addition to diagnostic technology, Nuvue Optometry also uses the highest quality in lens technology. Using Zeiss lenses, they give their patients the finest optics while maintaining very affordable prices. Zeiss is a leading optical company for microscopes, ophthalmic lenses, telescopes, and camera lenses. This is a brand you can trust for quality and affordability. There is no guessing what type of lens you are getting a Nuvue Optometry; you will know the name of the lens product you are getting.
